Lots of Mech Games coming out this year

There are lots of mech games coming out this year and I wanted you guys to be aware. There are 4 new mech titles coming out for PC this year and each of them is free to play: Mech Warrior Online, Mech Warrior Tactics, Hawken, and Reign of Thunder.

Hawken looks amazing!

I welcome more mech games, I think it brings more focus on the genre and I love mech games my self. I can tell you that even though we are developing this game we also enjoy playing some of our competitors.

As for Hawken, I think it looks great and I am sure it will be a fun mech FPS. I think MW Online will be very attractive to people who love Mechwarrior. With that said I think we are going to be able to deliver a experience from a gameplay standpoint that is somewhat more fast paced than MW Online and more of a sim than Hawken. M.A.V. (based on he former Lore: Aftermath title) will off solid gameplay with eventually a in-depth player experience, giving players a feeling that they are playing toward making a difference in a game.

Neway, I think this will be come the year of the Mech and I am very excited!!

Yep im a big Mechwarrior fan only thing that turn me off to MWO is it got match making like World of tanks......Hawken kinda makes me think Armored Core witch I thot was a crap series......This game looks interesting so far even tho only things iv been able to shot up are bots LOL also MWO system requirements are pretty high since there running Cyro engine 3....

We are upgrading our engine, but it will allow for a much lower system requirements than cryengine 3.

i love this game so far need alot more tweaking. BUT.....
This is what i like:

#1 Low Specs ( i dont have the money to go buy 1500$$ computer for newegg )
#2 It's running on linux from wine with like 2 libs that i have to install ( takes like 2 mins )
#3 I fell like the game has some unreal tournament style ( if you play the bots i found out that i need to get my ass out of there... not all run and gun...)
#4 This game seem really team bases ( like GOOD OLD GOST RECON FOR PC best team based game ever )
#5 ITS A MECH GAME!!!!

All and all i like this game more, sure Hawken look very fun i really like the dark look to it. But if this game is for online team based it's better!!!

Would like to see:

#1 More Moding for the MECH's
#2 NEEEEED more defense At base ( i can go in there to ez need to be harder )
#3 Put a description of what each wepon does like lazers, bullets and rockets.
#4 A Sort (playble) Back Gound Story.
#5 A wepon leveling system ( like if my mechs that i build and use the wepons should be able to be upgraded )

Some of that stuff we already had planned and it is why we are trying to raise the money for the kickstarter so we can get it done a lot sooner. Personally I want the game to run native on linux as I never liked having to use wine so I am hoping we can get the first stretch goal raised to make that happen sooner rather than later. Spread the word out to anyone you know and help us make MAV the best we can.

I have spread the word to my other forums that I go to. I have played a bit of hawken (got into the beta early) and it is not really that fun, even with cryengine 3. From what I have seen this game looks a lot more fun to me and I can't wait to try it.
